Delivery is via Australia Post. Express Post is available on request. Registered Post is highly recommended and is available at checkout. This is an additional cost to the postage cost but this will ensure that the package is able to be tracked if misplaced by Australia post. This option also provides compensation up to $100 if your item is lost.

The Sewing Bee Café cannot track goods sent by regular mail and is unable to be responsible for lost parcels when regular mail is chosen.

Postage and handling costs are calculated at the time of checkout and will vary depending on the weight of the parcel, the destination and the chosen method of post.

All postage parcels are subject to the terms and conditions of Australia Post and the postal services of the destination country. Express postage takes between 1-3 days depending on location.

The Sewing Bee Café posts daily and endeavours to process all orders within 2 working days of the order being placed. In most cases the item(s) will be posted on the same day that payment has been received. Delivery times will vary depending on the destination and Australia Post, but are normally within 7 days. Australia Post advises that delivery at peak times may take longer.

The Sewing Bee Café prides itself on exceptional customer service and endeavours to ensure that all products listed on our website are currently available. In the event that we are out of stock and cannot immediately fill a customer’s order, we will contact the client within 2 business days by email to advise whether we can access any further stock and the expected delivery time. This will depend on our suppliers but may take up to 2 weeks. If the client does not wish to wait we will offer a replacement item where available.

All transaction on this site will be done in Australian dollars and include the 10% GST (Goods and Services Tax) required by the Australian government. Orders shipped outside of Australia will not incur this tax, the tax free price will only be quoted to overseas customers once they have set-up an account and are logged in under that account.

It is the customer’s responsibility to pay any tax or customs required for the importation of the goods into the country of destination. Under no circumstances will The Sewing Bee Café make false or misleading statements on the customs declaration slip in order for the customer to avoid these taxes or customs.

No products will be supplied on credit. Full payment must always be received before products are shipped.

Receipts will be issued and sent with all orders placed.


Should there be a problem with your order, please contact The Sewing Bee Café within 3 working days of receiving your order. We are happy to credit or exchange any goods (patterns excluded) that have a manufacturing fault. Damaged or faulty goods can be exchanged or refunded within 10 days of delivery free of charge. Please do not return goods without first notifying us by email at sewingbeecafe@gmail.com Please detail which item(s) you wish to return, the reason you are returning it and whether you would like to exchange the product or receive a refund. We will attempt to reply to your email within 2 working days.

When returning an item, please ensure it is packaged in such a way that it will not be damaged in transit.

Alternatively we can arrange for a self addressed envelope to be delivered to the customer. Once we have received the item(s) we will arrange the replacement or refund immediately.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not exchange for change of mind, so if you require clarification, please contact The sewing Bee café. Although we endeavour to accurately represent the colour and appearance of our products (such as fabrics) on this website, the limitations of photography and the differences in individual monitors may mean that the actual appearance and colour of an item may differ slightly to that seen in the images on this website.

Due to copyright laws we are unable to exchange or refund on patterns or books.

Orders cancelled prior to shipping will incur a processing charge to recover the costs outlaid by us due to the bank and merchant fees on processing.

Customers who choose to sign up to The Sewing Bee Café email or mailing list will receive promotional and advertising emails from The Sewing Bee Café. However, they can request at any time to be removed from this mailing list.

We endeavour to provide an efficient, fast and reliable service to all our customers. If for any reason you have a comment or complaint please email sewingbeecafe@gmail.com and we will respond as soon as possible.

To ensure secure transactions we use NAB Transact as our payment gateway to process all our credit card payments.

In addition Credit Card companies offer general protection against fraud. Your credit card company can provide details on the level of protection they offer.
